Stuart Products has oral fat-soluble vitamins for specific applications for newly-hatched poultry. All products have been university and field tested. Bioavailability of fat-soluble vitamins is critically important for oral formulations. Our products have superior bioavailability compared to competitive products. Our oral products were the first to utilize “d-alpha tocopherol”- the non-ester form of vitamin E for enhanced bioavail-ability. Furthermore, the form of vitamin D in our products is cholecalciferol, the biologically active form of vitamin D.

Recommended Oral Products for Poultry

The EMCELLE products are formulated to be added to drinking water through proportioners or mixed into bucket waterers. These products are unique in two ways. Firstly, the form of vitamin E is the same form found in egg yolk sacs. Secondly, the fat-soluble vitamins are made water soluble by a process called “micellization” which enhances absorption. Feed-grade vitamin E-acetate found in starter feeds is very poorly utilized by the newly-hatched bird due to lack of enzyme necessary to remove the acetate ester (de-esterification) prior to intestinal absorption. With EMCELLE those two critically important steps are not required prior to absorption of vitamin E. Classical signs of vitamin E deficiency in birds are encephalomalacia, exudative diathesis, and muscular dystrophy. Also lack of vigor and impaired immunocompetency can occur with vitamin E deficiencies.

EMCELLE® TOCOPHEROL (Vitamin E)

Bioavailable source of vitamins E. Recommended for use in birds from placement through two-three weeks. The form of vitamin E in this product is the same form as found in yolk sacs. Each mL contains 500 I.U. vitamin E.

EMCELLE® E-D3 Liquid

Recommended for use in poultry to improve both vitamin E and vitamin D status in young birds. The product contains vitamins E (d-alpha-tocopherol), and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). The manufacturing process dramatically enhances the absorption of these two critically important vitamins for the young bird. Each mL contains 500 I.U. vitamin E and 30,000 I.U. vitamin D.

EMCELLE® -D3 Liquid

Recommended for use in poultry that are undergoing rickets due to malabsorption. The deficiency of vitamin D is generally characterized by a decreased concentration of calcium and phosphorus in the organic matrices of cartilage and bone. Another function of vitamin D deficiency is a reduction in immunocompetency. Each mL of the product contains 84,000 I.U. vitamin D.
